Spotlight Theatre

Description

Spotlight Theatre is run by volunteers with the aim of bringing high quality theatrical productions to the town for the entertainment of both locals and visitors.

Once a dairy, then a fish filleting shop and finally a printer’s, the Spotlight is now an attractive and authentic little theatre, much-loved by its loyal audience.

The main auditorium has just 83 seats offering a very intimate theatrical experience. There is also a light and airy bar that is open before performances and during the interval.

The Spotlight has a unique personality epitomised by the famous Spotlight raffle which takes place at every performance to raise funds towards the running of the theatre.

The theatre is home to Bridlington Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society, Northern Lights Youth Company and S.P.O.T.S junior company.

We are the only venue in Bridlington and surrounding area to offering this amazing facitly - Live Screening - world class theatre transmitted live from London and beyond to Bridlington.  We currently show live performances on our big screen from the National Theatre, the Royal Shakespeare Company, The Royal Ballet and Royal Opera, The Bolshoi Ballet and The New York Metropolitan Opera.
