About Sewerby Steps
The iconic Sewerby Steps, known locally as much for their challenge as their beauty, provide a dramatic descent from the cliff tops of Bridlington directly to the scenic beach below. With approximately 130-160 steps, they offer a vigorous workout and are a fantastic access point to the coastline. Visitors consistently praise the steps, contributing to an excellent Google rating of 4.9/5 stars, often highlighting the breathtaking views and the rewarding journey down to the sand.
Once at the bottom, when the tide permits, you can enjoy a glorious walk along the beach towards Bridlington North beach, making it a perfect spot for photography and enjoying the fresh sea air. The top of the steps is conveniently located near the Ships Inn, which offers a dog-friendly outdoor area, and the Blu Savanna snack bar for refreshments. The land train also passes nearby, offering an alternative way to explore the area.
Visiting Information
Sewerby Steps are accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week, inviting visitors to experience this unique coastal feature at their leisure. Please note that due to the nature of the steps and cliffside access, there are no specific wheelchair-accessible parking or entrance facilities available.
