River Bank Cottage

Well appointed cottage. Loved the garden and summerhouse. Friendly host. Had a very relaxing time. Enjoyed it that much we have already booked.

Beautiful tranquil holiday home, spotless and so comfortable. Quiet and restful, but also within easy reach of Whitby, by train if you like, for a day or night out. Tracy is a fab hostess too.

We took this home on a cancellation,wow what a find. Apart from the excellent accommodation the location is magical. The summer house on raised decking overlooking the river Esk is perfect for relaxing with the drink of your choice,and what a welcome basket 👍. Tracy met us on arrival,what a lovely genuine person she is❤️. We booked again can't wait to return.

Wonderful welcome. Met personally at the front door by the owner. Beautiful property... 2 bedrooms ( 1 master double bed other a twin). Gorgeous bathroom with claw foot bath and separate drench shower. Cottage immaculate and clean. Lovely long garden leading to a summer house and deck by the River Esk, below a landing stage you can fish from. Lots of unexpected extras.... for eg: a beautiful bowl of fresh flowers, milk, eggs, butter, OJ, and a hamper full of goodies... bottle of excellent red wine, tea, filter and instant coffee, marmalade and biscuits. Lots of crockery, glasses, pots, pans, even roasting bags and dishwasher tablets! Best cottage we have ever stayed in. Can't recommend highly enough. Only improvement I would suggest is adding on demand TV such as Netflix, Sky or Prime. We found staying in Sleights an excellent location to base our holiday. Close to Whitby but easy to to access the whole area from Scarborough to Pickering to Staithes...

Fabulous place. Owner is so welcoming. Riverside position is so peaceful.
