Visited for the first time today for lunch with friends. Good in parts and service was acceptable. Unfortunately my roast beef was very dry and tough and difficult to cut. Yorkshire pudding the same - could have bounced it off a wall! Also seemed like ages before we were served even though there were few diners when we ordered. Sticky toffeee pudding was nice but not enough sauce. Latte was the worst I have ever tasted - so weak and watery with almost no froth. Disappointing as my friend that had booked it has been before and recommended it.
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 We had the absolute wedding of our dreams at the Black Horse Inn! From the moment we toured the venue, we knew it was something special — the grounds are stunning, the atmosphere is warm and elegant, and everything about the space just felt right. But what truly made our day exceptional was Lydia, our wedding planner. She was incredible from start to finish organized, calm, responsive, and genuinely invested in making our day perfect. No detail was too small, and her experience and passion really shone through. She handled everything so seamlessly that we were able to completely relax and enjoy every moment. Our guests are still raving about the venue and how smoothly everything went. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thank you to Lydia and the entire team at the Black Horse Inn for making our wedding unforgettable! Highly, highly recommend!
Thank you so much to The Black Horse at Clifton; yesterday they hosted our family and friends following my mum's funeral. It was so well done - the staff were attentive, efficient and very respectful, and the buffet tea was excellent. The space that we had met the needs of everyone in the party - it was clean, comfortable and airy. The whole afternoon went really well, so a huge thank you to all involved.
