The shrub is consistently exceptional. The food and service industry an always amazing but the coffee is next level. The best coffee in brighouse by far. We have also had cocktails there and these are amazing. The staff are polite and friendly, such a welcoming environment. Highly recommended for a simple breakfast or a bottomless brunch.
We went to the shrub last night for a bottomless brunch for my birthday. We arrived early but that wasn’t a problem. Prosecco on arrival. The drinks flowed. We didn’t have to ask for a top up as the gentleman who served us was brilliant at noticing when we needed another drink. The service was brilliant, the man was really chatty and nice. Nothing was too much trouble. Food and drinks were excellent. I asked him to save me a piece of coffee and walnut cake which he did and as it was my birthday he provided this free. Will definitely go again. It’s gorgeous inside and the service is impeccable. Thanks for making my birthday night out. X
We came to the Shrub for the first time today after a recommendation from a friend. We were welcomed, seated & served by Mia. A very polite sweet young lady. She was very attentive, checked everything with us and made us feel very welcome & relaxed. The food was lovely, we both had the breakfast with a few adaptations which were no trouble. The food came out hot & fresh & tasted delicious. We will definitely be back again & will be recommending to friends & family 🫶🏽😊 x
Popped in for a coffee and a sausage sandwich. Service lovely and enjoyed what they’ve done with the space. Sausage Sarni was a bit basic with quite cheap bread and ketchup. Think you could do a little better for £5.
I have walked past this place on many occasion & I do keep meaning to call in so today after messing up my train times I decide to give it a whirl it’s ideal for people catching the train or being delayed a refreshing bite to eat or a cold or warm beverage. I politely asked if it was booking only which the kind gentleman staff member politely sorted me out with a table for 1 he walked me through the main area to the back out door area which caters for all little people (adults .dogs) water bowl kiddies chair two fans blowing cold hair which was just grand has it’s a very hot day I noticed two other diners had ordered food I was kinda jelous has it looked very well presented plus the smell went right by my nostrils but I opted for a flat white with a desert but I now know for next time what to try the service was spot on the area was a lot cleaner the cliental a bit different from Greggs or Costa but the decor was very cosy indeed . Has I left I noticed a few more people had arrived has I settled the bill but yes if you want some a bit classy a good range on the menu then do drop by it’s just on the left hand side on the corner over the bridge from Sainsbury’s ideally parking wise I think just further down the road shouldn’t be a problem . I look forward to trying other items on the menu on my next visit but thank you for the very welcoming service.
