Love popping in here for lunch. Service is always attentive and friendly. Had a lovely tuna melt and jacket potato for lunch. I will say though, £8 for a jacket potato is a little steep for me. Still, lovely joint!
LTR is a local treasure. Best omelette and full English . Service is great with friendly staff. The owners are kind and compassionate-recently helped our parents out with making sure they can access the food from them easily. Many thanks Nick for doing this xx
Took my mum out for breakfast and, unfortunately, had a really poor experience. We ordered beans on toast with a few extras, but the chef (possibly the owner?) put it through the till as something different—charging more and giving less toast than stated on the menu. When I questioned it, they brought out more toast but then charged for that too. When it came time to pay, the bill was higher than expected. I raised the issue, and the man behind the counter came out looking annoyed and was incredibly rude. He walked off mid-conversation without an apology or explanation. Absolutely no sense of customer service. The girl on the till was lovely and clearly embarrassed—it wasn’t her fault at all. It’s a shame because the food itself was nice. But this isn’t the first time we’ve been overcharged here, and any time we’ve questioned it, it’s turned into an unnecessary hassle. If orders were taken and processed correctly in the first place, none of this would be an issue.
First visit yesterday on 20 January 11.30, very impressed with service and staff, had a sandwich and coffee, very nice, I had a piece of lemon meringue cake, although nice found the buttercream a bit sickly, wouldn’t stop us going again though, well worth the visit
Stumbled on the Lightcliffe tearooms as we drove to Halifax. Lovely cafe and enjoyed a scrumptious chicken and bacon salad, picture says it all. Thank you, would recommend.
