It's a car park. While I begrudge paying for parking, it's not painfully priced. Bays are good enough for most normal sized vehicles. But... A few times a year or turns into something far better, primarily for the local 40s weekend, but previously summer fairs with stages and live music.
I always park here, it's right in the centre of town.Huddersfield, where I live,on the other hand, try to deture visitors by closing down carparks and driving out big businesses.
A car park....what can I say! Well there is something to add. This is a pay and display car park and the machine only took CASH when I visited mid December 2018. I was attending a presentation in the hotel at the back of the car park, the Waterfront Lodge, and got £10 in £1 coins from reception. I got the impression this is a frequent request! The traffic wardens are very keen on this car park so you've been warned!
No disabled parking .two spaces in the whole carpark !! We had to park in a normal space then came back to find my brother could not get into his car .luckily my other half was able to reverse the car if my brother had been on his own he'd have been stuck there hours .not good enough avoid at all costs if you are disabled 🤬🤬
Ok little car park, 90p per hour, a few disabled spaces.
