A very nice peaceful walk on any day of the week it’s beautiful to have this on my door step just a drop into the woods they really have looked after this place has its off the beaten track good little diversion from Brighouse or Elland it’s just nice to be away from huddle n bustle of every day life . Trainers are normally fine but in the winter months wellies or boots are probably best suited for the winter conditions but apart from that a really nice spot I think it has car access but best off walking from elland or Brighouse.
Not a bad sized car park, stoney though also parking on the lane. Few minutes walk to canal and Cromwell bottom nature reserve and cafe. Cafe run by volunteers, pop in for a relax, give a donation for cuppa and cake, dog friendly!
Beautiful walk looking at the barges. Met a great gentleman with his dog Captain on the waterway in his boat selling refreshments. Lovely afternoon sharing stories
Entrance to car park is not clear. I drove past and had to turn round. Lovely walk round the reserve. Lots of criss cross paths through woodland or along the canal.
Not well sign posted but a great place for a dog walk when you get there. Canal boat selling drinks snacks and dog accessories a bonus.
