First class service as always from Hall & Rhodes on our recent alarm upgrade - tidy, competent and very knowledgeable - we would never consider using anyone else.

Although efficient, charging £95 to change a battery they should have changed during the annual service, they argued that I should have lived with a faulty alarm until the service came round. A VERY POOR COMPANY

Brilliant service from a local reputable business. Needed an emergency call out and received responsive, and personalised attention. Repair rewiring amazingly resolved within 30 minutes of a call, so it didn’t impact contractors working on a site project. So good.

Disappointing experience this week from the security firm I’ve used and trusted for years. My elderly parents in law died recently only five weeks apart from each other. My husband contacted H&R to merely shorten the time setting on the door contact. A simple few buttons to press on the keypad. A grumpy engineer turned up, spent a few minutes jabbing the buttons on the keypad, muttered something about it being nothing of a job and a few days later, a bill arrived for £66 arrived. £66 for 10 minutes, could have done it ourselves if they’d directed us over the phone. And all because the owners died and we couldn’t set their alarm. Bye bye Hall & Rhodes.

The original Hall and Rhodes alarm system in our property had been fitted back in 1994. We have had this system maintained since we moved in, for the last 15 years, maybe not every year, but has been invaluable to us. As technology advances we felt it important to update the system. From the initial meeting with a long established sales representative to the installation took just over a week to undertake. This was at a busy time of the year for them. The two engineers arrived just before 5pm and departed just after 7pm. They were long serving members of the team and were so helpful, with advise and options and training us to maximise the benefits of the new system. We now have an up to date system that uses apps to advise of any warnings as well as numerous additional sensors. We were delighted with the total service, along with the cost and have now recommended them to other family members. I was surprised how few reviews are on their website and some are not very complimentary. As a long serving local company there must be many hundreds of very happy customers who just expect great service who haven't got round to leaving a review!
