best hairdresser i’ve ever had, by a landslide! claire is always up for the challenge to bring my ever-changing hairstyles to life, and never misses! she is so thorough and precise, and somehow with everything we do to my hair, it always feels even healthier after an appointment at Astra Hair. only high quality products are used and that really shows. i could not recommend more!

The entire team is welcoming and friendly. Amy, who cuts my hair, is always kind and helpful, and she consistently gives me an amazing haircut that draws many compliments. Always look forward to going 😊

I would like to share some messenger post with you: Hi Claire, It’s Sharon, I had (what I thought was an appointment with you) tonight. I appreciate before Christmas, I had to cancel with you so Eve (I think her name is) was an option as I only required a colour. Today, it appears I had been moved to her (when actually I had booked my appointment with you long before Christmas!) apply the colour is not a problem, as you over saw this. But when it came to the cut (which I desperately needed) my confidence disappeared- she shakes when applying my colour which does not fill me with confidence when asking her to cut my hair! I explained when I joined your salon, I moved due to being transferred to a junior stylist and my lack of confidence. Due to this, I shall unfortunately not be returning. I felt ‘passed over and unimportant’ as a client. I’m sorry to leave but I have come to a point in my life where I’m happy to pay for a service of quality but not a stylist I have no confidence in. Their reply… I had surgery just after Christmas and to be honest today was my first day back and I had got behind as I’m in pain and things are taking me a little longer and shouldn’t really be back in but I didn’t want to cancel everyone. Evie is more than capable of doing colours and cuts, she does my hair and I wouldn’t let her do clients if she wasn’t. I am sorry you feel that way, I wish you well, take care My response: I appreciate that, however you should have still asked/consulted me if I was Ok with the change! I have been in bed all week with flu and only just realised today I had an appointment. Realistically, I should have cancelled, however you know my feelings on last minute cancellation, unacceptable! It has to work both ways. I’m really not having a go. (If I was, I would have done this publicly) I’m merely saying, Eve does not fill me with confidence! I’m going away and out this weekend. My hair has not been cut since you last cut it 3appointment since! I was expecting you to do my hair tonight. I can accept the colour but I needed someone I can trust!!! To cut. I feel extremely let down. If you felt unable to work after surgery, you should have let me know. Their final response: No problem, hope you are feeling better. I am no longer offering roots and cut and blow dry services. As I say, sorry you feel that way and I wish you well. Please be prepared to only be a convenient client! When it suits, you will be passed over.

I absolutely love this salon! Clare is amazing at what she does. My hair has never been in very good condition due to me colouring it however not only do I still have colour but I also have the healthiest hair ever!!!! It helps that she also has iPads and a snack drawer to keep you entertained and to fully pamper you!!! I wont change my hairdresser ever again!!!

Clare is the best at creating beautiful hair, exactly how you want it. She listens and discusses ideas to find what would suit you best and is such a perfectionist. I always coming away smiling. And she is so lovely too 💗Highly recommend 👍
