Salon Y

Oh where to start! I needed someone to do my daughters hair for her year 11 prom, I'd left it quite late so frantically started searching local Facebook groups for recommendations. Salon Y came up time and time again in all of the local groups and all the local reviews said the same thing. Excellent! I absolutely agree! Everything from start to finish was excellent! I called in to the salon and managed to book a trial appointment and an appointment for prom day. On the day of the trial my daughter showed Joanne some inspiration pictures and Joanne recreated exactly what my daughter was looking for. Pleasing a 16 year old girl can be difficult sometimes but the smile on her face told us all that she was more than pleased. On the actual day my daughters hair looked absolutely stunning and she had so many wonderful comments about it. Her hair stayed in place all night. The price for 2 appointments was very very reasonable. Joanne and Natalie made us all feel very welcome, they were both very welcoming and extremely friendly. At times it felt like I'd known them for years. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Salon Y to anyone looking for hair services. To Joanne and Natalie.. thank you for making my girl look and feel amazing and for being such an important part of her Prom 2025 journey.

Thank you Jo, you are one amazing woman. Not only brilliant at your job, but also so caring. I became a customer after Covid and not having my hair done for over a year. One day I just stopped my car and popped in as 'on my door step'. Although nervous, as been with my hairdresser since my Uni days (a very long time ago), but Covid and a new move to Rastrick made things change. Jo made me so welcome and also gave me the confidence to try curls, both with irons and natural, which I have always wanted to do. I had now found myself my new hairdresser! Back to the present and I found myself in a similar situation and not had my hair cut in over a year due to personal circumstances. I was loving that my hair had grown, but it did need sorting out. I was embarrassed as I had left it so long without seeing Jo, but there was no need. Again as soon as I walked through the door, Jo made me feel relaxed. Only went in for a dry trim to sort out the dead ends, but she spent quality time on me. We had a lovely chat, which I needed and she remembered everything about me and my family. She even curled my hair for me. I felt wonderful afterwards....shame I was only going to do the food shop next! Thank you Jo x

The one time reviews can truly be believed! These ladies & their salon are just amazing. I booked my first appointment hoping for help with hair that hadn't seen a hairdresser for 10 years & with quite a bit of trepidation as to whether anything could be done with it. That soon disappeared as it is such a welcoming & friendly place. Both Joanne & Natalie instantly knew what needed to be done to get my hair sorted . Joanne did the honours & boy, what a fabulous miracle worker she is!! The cut & colour are everything I could have ever hoped for. Needless to say, I now intend on being a regular customer knowing my hair is in safe hands. Thank you ladies!

I went for my haircut after reading all the lovely reviews and they did not disappoint. Lovely ladies make you feel at ease and I love my haircut and my daughter loves hers too. Will definitely be going back

This is one fantastic hairdressers. I love having my hair done here the staff are great very friendly and cant do enough for you. If you dont know what you want to have done to your hair they have great advice. Both my daughter and i started going there though a friends experience x we recently went to a friends wedding and joanne did both our hairs see the photo she made us looked ace xxx love you both Joanne and Natalie.. plus I saw something I've never seen before so if you have a disability then you can go to this hairdressers....they have a mobile hair washer they bring the mobile sink too YOU!!!!! I saw it for the first time when I had my hair done this week I couldn't believe my eye's.the lady had MS and she loves going to Natalie because she as no mobile problems everything is on the same level. Yet again WELCOME salon Y.
