After having very poor and unsafe work carried out by a previous unqualified roofer, I was left stressed, severely overcharged, and unsure who to trust. Luke from L Hartleys Roofing came highly recommended, and I’m genuinely grateful I found him. Luke completely re-did my roof properly from start to finish. Before any work began, he carried out a full inspection, took detailed photographs, and used drone footage to clearly show the condition of the roof. He provided a clear inspection report along with a fully itemised, broken-down quote, so I knew exactly what I was paying for. The price was fair, transparent, and did not change at any point — he didn’t charge a penny more than agreed. What really stood out was Luke’s honesty and integrity. Damage caused by the previous roofer had also affected my neighbour’s roof. Luke ordered the necessary parts, repaired their roof as well, and did not charge anything extra for this work. There was no upselling, no pressure, and no hidden costs — just genuine care and doing the right thing. Luke’s team were equally impressive: polite, respectful, hardworking, and tidy. They cleaned everything up thoroughly and treated both my property and my neighbours with care. I’m including images with this review (watermarked to prevent misuse). The level of detail in Luke’s photos and reports was so professional that they are suitable for my legal and insurance purposes, which says a lot about the quality of his work and documentation. Had a new roof installed and couldn’t be happier with the service. Luke was polite, punctual, and always kept me updated throughout the job. He worked extremely hard to complete everything efficiently, provided photos of the progress, and left the area clean and tidy afterward. He went to the trouble of assuring us in terms of the installation of TLX Gold by contacting another satisfied client who had recently had TLX Gold installed. He is an absolute credit to the area and sets the bar very high indeed in terms of his trade, his competitive pricing and his efficient workmanship. Alongside his extensive experience, he was very personable, demonstrating the highest level of courtesy and respect at all times. He kept us up to date with progress at every step of the way even sending us photos while we were away. The only possible area for improvement would be his 3rd party scaffolding team who were somewhat slow to remove the pipes. We understand this was outside Luke's control who contacted the 3rd party while he was on holiday himself. Thank you Luke, we are very pleased indeed to have selected you to do the work. Was very happy with the work and service from Luke and his team. Sorted the problem and the cladding looks great.Always turned up as expected, and he also let us know if he wasn't turning up. Would definitely use again.
