Thornhill convenience store

I've lived local to this store around 25 years of my life, and I must admit it has never been as good & welcoming as it is currently. The owner & staff (shout out to the headphone woman - you're a star!) are always super friendly no matter the time of day. The prices are probably the most competitive they've ever been and they've clearly given the shop some love and attention as it's currently looking the best it's ever been. I drop parcels & pick up parcels here regularly (usually every few days), I must of had over 100 both dropped off & delivered now which is super convenient for me with it being so local! I would 100% recommend this shop and hope they never stop being a parcel shop as it really helps me! I look forward to seeing further improvements :)

I absolutely love this shop and the owners, nothing is too much trouble for them, they are both so helpful and polite and welcoming, their shop stocks all affordable products and is very much well stocked. Zaiby’s is one of those convenience stores you can always rely on for dropping off parcels and a little chat with the staff. The lady told me she had been called rude for running out of parcel labels, i replied, i’ve seen rude and you are definitely not in that category. I live near the co-op but Id much rather come to a friendly welcoming store than a big corporate business. Thank you for your hospitality and service, i will be back and i will be telling everyone about you.

All i can say is this shop is legit the beat,absolutely brilliant staff,the new owner is a top guy always helpful and if he doesnt have an item in stock he will go out of his way to get in stock for you,the other staff are also friendly and always helpful and always greeted with a smile and a hello,to add to it ive been taking parcels there for a few months now and its always a easy quick process,i will say you have to now take parcels before 8pm which is totally fine as you can take parcels from opening time so that gives plenty of time for parcels to be dropped off,collecting parcels is also very easy and they are always well taken care of,the shop has gone from a rubbish hell hole to a friendly stock filled shop with so much to offer with some amazing deals each month,i now enjoy shopping at my local shop and if anyone ever has any issue just speak to the boss man he is a very understanding kind man and will do his best to make it right,thankyou to the new owner for giving rastrick the best shop ❤️ Negative reviews coming from negative people! And no this is not a fake review this is genuine and not full of lies

Recently moved to the rastrick area and i have never been to a shop with more welcoming and accommodating friendly owner who’s name is zaiby what a truly lovely funny man and his staff mo and lotte are also truly lovely people always very welcoming and we have had some lovely chats,zaiby,mo and lotte all go out of her way to help me grab a few items as im in my late 60s and struggle greatly but they are always quick to help in any way they can,prices are brilliant and the products are all in date and well stocked,i asked zaiby if he could get me certain chocolates and he got me them the very next day and ive truly never known any shop to go out of there way for the customers,i have not yet used the parcel service but what an added bonus will most definitely be giving it a try in the near future,im very confused as to why there is any reviews stating rudeness when each time i have been every member of staff has truly been lovely to myself and every person who enters the shop gets the same friendly warm welcome

Rude shop GENUINE REVIEW. NOT A FAKE ONE TO UP THE RATINGS !! My carer collects and sends any parcels I have. She used to take them around 9pm then the time was changed even though the shop was empty. Then a sign appeared no parcels during school hours !! Fair enough... Then a while ago the OWNER said 10pm closing Monday to Saturday but now its changed yet again to 8pm for dropping off parcels but collect anytime. The shop is empty any time she's been. Tonight they apparently don't print labels. With the problem with inpost lockers this was our only option but we couldn't change the fact it was a digital label. So now we'll collect the last few parcels n avoid the shop - I'd love to hear from anyone else who feels like they're being targeted. We don't shop there so possibly that's the reason so I'm going to message the carriers as this is unacceptable We definitely feel like we're being personally targeted!! Getting people to leave 5 star reviews is pathetic too. The other negative comment was about postage too at 8 am she was turned away!! So it's not 7am to 8pm. If you need to clean and restock why stay open until 10pm. Also the woman with the headphones on at the till is extremely rude. There's no difference in stopping to serve a customer than dropping off a parcel... also you're allowed to collect a parcel yet this takes more time. Obviously it's profit related - serve a paying customer but not someone dropping off parcels. I can't be left unless someone else is here which for your benefit is usually after 6 pm which is when my carer leaves to head to your shop (since the 8pm rule) If you don't earn enough from parcel commission then stop doing it. This is a GENUINE REVIEW ! The owner has now been rude to my carer whilst sat behind the counter - not cleaning or stocking up. Then the rude woman with the earphones had a right go at her. Again was after 8 pm no one else in the shop and she was sat behind the counter. This is the person who sells alcohol to young people without requesting to see identity when they are also with other minors. I think they need to concentrate on their real problems. Hopefully we won't have many more parcels to collect but we will spread the word on how poor this shop is & how you'll be verbally attacked for leaving a review
