Stayed a night for business. Been sent a parking fine. Clearly reception is not doing enough to make sure checked in guests are white listed. Attempted to call reception, rings twice then hangs up. 15 attempts to call. Called reservations to ask if there was any issue with the phone lines. Jsut wanted me to book another stay, then Transferred to the same line I’m having issues with. I just wanted to to call site themselves and confirm if there was any issue issue with the phone. Called the health club. Told to email site. Feels like once they have the money any and all customer service goes out the door. I’ve seen other reviews of people with the same issue being told to call reception. Good luck with that!
I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Brighouse and had a very pleasant experience. The hotel is set in a quiet, scenic location with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. The staff were friendly, professional, and always willing to help. My room was clean, spacious, and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was especially comfortable, and I slept really well. I also enjoyed the breakfast buffet – there was a good variety of hot and cold options, and everything was fresh. The leisure facilities, including the pool and gym, were well-maintained and not too busy. It’s a great place to stay if you're looking for a relaxing break or a convenient base to explore West Yorkshire. I would definitely return!
We got the last room on second floor , which was freezing about 18-19 °C middle of the night.. I'm waiting surgery so can't sleep, because of the pain and cold combines... Food nice , fitt és center not bad , hot tub don't run when we arrivedvand the next following day also waiting for to clean( probably).. 4star hotel I know may that's the standard around Leeds no idea, I been a week before another IHG hotel also wasn't satisfied much , but still try another town may got more luck...
Arrived for a wedding event and was pleasantly surprised. Compared to other Holiday Inns this one appears to be a cut above the rest. With a disability, access is an important factor and on entry to the car oark there are 4 disabled bays. Entry to the reception area is up a small ramp and through automatic doors. The receptionist (Hayley) was very welcoming and pointed us in the right direction. We arrived early and so we grabbed a cuppa. The bar staff (Iris) was both helpful and understanding when i asked for the take away cup and not the usual one. Served with drinks, the manager (Jess) walked by and i managed to catch her. Jess herself was both welcoming, friendly, polite and understanding. This Holiday Inn also has a play area for children.
This is a comfortable and friendly hotel and we thought it was a good base and one we would return too as it’s close to family who have just moved into the area. However my brother popped in to have a brief lunch with myself as my husband was unwell and he ended up with a £100 parking fine. Very disappointed with Holiday Inn and feel this is a very bad buisness decision to have these parking charges given out to unexpecting customers - we won’t be returning unless the issue is rectified???
