I’m so happy to find and recommend this local business for being hearing impairment friendly. I had my free initial session with Jenny yesterday. The setup of the gym and the friendliness of the owner means that you can (and people do) engage in a bit of chat even if you’re mild-moderately hard of hearing. For those of us who are more severely hard of hearing, Jenny has excellent deaf-awareness. My profoundly HoH mum has been able to text in order to book, and Jenny is a good, clear lipspeaker, who ensures she is facing you when she speaks. I know myself that answering queries by text/email takes more time, and businesses are put off by doing it. However when you do, you make your service accessible and stress-free for HoH customers. So many do not understand how difficult and frustrating it is to try to access places that require phone calls or have background noise. The gym itself is delightfully unconventional, offering a welcoming, structured workout that is easy to fit into your day. Designed with mature ladies in mind, a simple 6 machines with 5 minutes each gives you a 30-minute workout for all your key concerns. Best,

Body Shape is brilliant, you get a free trial to see if it's for you. Jen the lady who owns it's has been there 12 years, its where the garden centre is. Jen is a real encourager and professional. It's by booked appointment and it helps with my disability, as the chairs do most of the works. It's ideal for people who have trouble moving about, like me. I've been only 3 times and I'm already feeling more confident. Its ladies only and they are lovely and very supportive too, like Jen.
