I visit with my two 5 year old children. The pool and changing rooms are clean, tidy and spacious. There are plenty of larger changing rooms for families. The car park is free. The timetable allows us to visit most days with little restriction. The staff are approachable and friendly. One swimming tutor gave my children stickers for their good swimming, another regularly praises them and chats to them. The manager James and another life guard supported me in gaining certificates for my children. We will be regulars!

Despite being extremely busy, the staff do a terrific job at maintaining cleanliness and order at this centre. In particular, I think the staff give extra effort to accommodate people with disabilities and make them feel valued and welcome with their friendly approach.

Confusing. I rung up to ask for gym prices and as a student the lady said it would be under adult and corporate meaning it’s a little less. I rang a couple days ago again to double check this was correct and the lady said although I’m a student if I don’t live in the area I can’t get the offer. I live in Fartown. 10 minutes drive away,… and I do not qualify. I go to purchase a membership which states it is £32 a month. I wasn’t aware of a joining fee until I clicked on the link which was fine. I then saw my total was £53. How it’s jumped from £42 to £53 I do not understand. I think this was due to me purchasing it in the middle of the month and now i somehow am liable for paying an extra £10? This makes no sense and is putting me off from joining. The only reason I was going to go here was because it was £32 for gym/classes and swimming and in huddersfield it was £25/pm but I had to pay parking which would work out too expensive. Now if I wanted to start the gym tomorrow like I planned I have to pay an extra £10 on top of the £10 joining fee? Absolutely ridiculous. I don’t know why they do this but I’m unsure if I’m able to do it now because once again I am a student and already they aren’t offering me the student deal.

Love the centre and the pool but the water is too cold especially now the weather has turned colder. Puts me off swimming a lot and I love to swim , shame. They really need to turn the temperature up a bit during the cold months.

My wife and I joined this gym in an effort to get fit pre retirement. Neither of us anticipated joining a youth club! If you can only visit the gym after work, don't bother! The place is swarming with kids from 4pm onwards. The majority use the venue to sit around and post/view social media, before doing two reps before looking at their triceps in the mirror. It was amusing initially, but it's a little annoying now. Some staff are better than others, but one in particular hides in the office, so the kids can roam free. They could do with getting a grip of them and challenging their behaviour before it gets any more out of control. It would be so much better with adult only times...or reducing the kids club times! Other than that, the equipment is good quality and well maintained.
