Thought this place might be a bit out of my price range but far from the truth it’s bang on the money for this market it’s in the entrance is very warm welcoming area I was very lucky to have a mini tour by the young lady on the desk with a wide range of hot n cold healthy drinks or foods before or after the stair way to heaven a very clean very well lit area which branches out into a treatment area also an open space for yoga with a waiting area so I had an options wait down stairs or upstairs. The treatment was done by a very knowledgeable lady called Gemma she was very helpful made myself feel very at ease she talked me through the whole process it was very relaxing I am definitely looking forward to re booking his highly recommended maybe a new try a new treatment by the very capable therapist so afterwards I just chilled down stairs smelling wonderful feeling chilled you definitely can’t ask for much more so once again thank you I did read some reviews before so I just wanted to try this out for myself to find it if it was a 2 star or 3 but most likely a 5 star from start to finish.
Visited Kalm a couple months ago. I had the most gorgeous matcha and I had such a lovely experience here. The place is gorgeous and calming. I was served by Lily who made a great matcha and was so friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be back to try more.
I recently visited KALM for a massage and facial after receiving a voucher for my birthday from my friends. Unfortunately, the experience was unprofessional from start to finish. The lack of care started with the booking call when I asked about parking, the lady I spoke to was quite dismissive and cold - which I thought was strange for a relatively new business. Upon arrival, there was no welcome. I was immediately charged the difference for the treatment that my voucher didn’t cover. Which is fine, but there was no welcome, nor conversation if I'd visited before, which again matched the tone of which my first initial call was. More concerningly, I was never asked to sign a waiver or provide a health history… The treatment room was tiny. I was told I could take my top off and keep my leggings on (something I’ve never been told for a back massage before), which made the session feel awkward for me and I instantly knew I would then not be getting a deep back massage. I was only asked about allergies seconds before the therapist started and once I was face down. The 'hot stone' massage was a letdown, the stones weren't even lukewarm and there was zero pressure. I’ve never experienced a back ‘massage’ like it. I was asked to 'flip' over’ whilst the therapist stood at the head of the bed and lifted the towel (rather than at the side), leaving me exposed when I turned over. The facial was unfortunately equally poor. There was no head pillow for comfort, the cloths were cold and didn't smell fresh, and the ice rollers kept dragging on my skin due to a lack of oil. When a serum began to feel stingy, I asked the therapist if it was normal (given I couldn’t see how it looked). The therapist's only explanation was that it was ‘an active one’ a vague and unhelpful response considering she hadn't checked my skin type or sensitivities beforehand. I debated leaving this review, but as a close friend who owns their own salon pointed out when I was speaking to her, the lack of basic health and safety (like a waver and conversation about treatment) is an issue. The place unfortunately feels like an Instagram cafe run by inexperienced staff. I am more disappointed that my friends' money was spent here. I wouldn’t return, and unfortunately would not recommend based on my experience.
I have recently had a massage here and had a fantastic experience. The soothing burning aroma added to an already calming atmosphere and experience. The prices are affordable especially for the great quality you receive. I was asked how gentle I would like the massage and the lady spoke through everything she was doing even down to after care. Overall I felt well taken care of from start to finish and will definitely be returning.
It’s amazing that this place is in the middle of Brighouse town! I did the fire and ice experience and the room is so so soundproofed and quiet which I loved. The privacy of the sauna is really cool, proper relaxing. I had a matcha afterwards which was delicious. Good value for money too. Highly recommend!
