I’ve been visiting Brew & Banter since it reopened under the new owner, Lindsey, and her fabulous team. Every member of staff is always happy, friendly, and genuinely pleased to see you. The food is consistently delicious, cooked to perfection, and served in generous portions. There’s always a great selection of home-baked and freshly cooked specials to choose from too. We don’t even need to place our drinks order anymore — as soon as Billy sees us arrive, he’s already making them! We visited yesterday and tried the special: slow-cooked brisket in gravy with mash, carrots, and peas. It was absolutely delicious — the brisket just fell apart perfectly. It’s also brilliant to see the meat sourced from the village’s local family butcher, along with other ingredients from local suppliers. Another lovely touch is that Brew & Banter is dog-friendly, with special dog treats available from a local independent supplier too. I highly recommend Brew & Banter — lovely coffee, tasty food, and a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. A real gem!

My partner and I found this amazing cafe this morning. We live in Brough but don’t often venture down Skillings Lane. We went inside and we were approached by a lovely lady who found us a table as most were reserved, probably due to the passing Remembrance Parade. I ordered toasted tea cake and a Cappuccino for both of us. Our order arrived within 5 mins and both the toasted tea cakes and Cappuccino’s were excellent, just what we both needed. This cafe looks beautiful iside, it’s very very welcoming, all the staff we met were both lovely and polite and the food and coffee were great. We will be back️….thank you.

Called in for lunch today 😋 and I can honestly say that the food was priced well and very satisfying. My hubby's large breakfast looked fabulous. I had a club sandwich which had lots of filling and very tasty. Coffee was excellent, I just never had the room for the chocolate brownie that was calling me!!!

First time at Brew and Banter today after hearing good things, and it didn’t disappoint. Breakfast was spot on — great sausages and bacon, perfect poached eggs, and really friendly service. One of the best breakfasts I’ve had in ages. Definitely worth a visit!
