I generally go here when out for a walk. It’s situated on the edge of the Wolds in the picturesque village of Welton. The staff are really friendly and helpful. The coffee and cakes are very very nice also. There are also cold drinks on offer. I would recommend this place if you are out and about. There are both outdoor and indoor seats and the place is dog friendly. There are toilets to.

We have been visiting The Lucky Duck coffee shop in Welton regularly for a couple of years now. The coffee is consistently the only one around that I actually enjoy! Occasionally its a Yorkshire Tea or Hot Chocolate that I order - both also reliably good. The food choices are limited but always of excellent quality, but then it doesn't pretend to be a tearoom or lunch venue - its a coffee shop! You certainly can't complain about the choice of delicious cakes and the toasted teacake with applewood cheese is just sooo very yummy! To top it all, service always comes with a smile and a chat from the staff, and also complete strangers happily passing the time of day in the garden. The newly installed large brolly gives welcome shade/shelter over all the tables, especially for our four-legged friends post walkies. Oh yes and its most definitely dog-friendly 😁

After a lovely walk with 23 other ladies this morning around the Welton area we stopped for coffee and cake at the end. The food and drinks were lovely, and to a certain degree, as was the service. 2 members of staff were on shift at the time, a young girl, who's name I didn't catch who was extremely pleasant and an older lady whos name began with a T who wasn't so pleasant. The young girl saw us all come in, had a bit of a panic and made a mistake with the pricing. Completely understandable, going from an empty coffee shop to 24 people wanting refreshments within no time. We had absolutely no problem with this whatsoever, we were happy to wait for the mistake to be rectified. T then had a go at the young girl in front of us all, making the young girl feel really awkward, embarrassed and completely ridiculed. Extremely passive aggressively, T touched the young girls arm and said to the young girl "concentrate on what you're doing, we have a lot of people waiting" The poor girl was mortified as were myself and one of the other walkers. The young girl was doing an amazing job and continued to do so even after T had made her feel about 1 inch tall. T needs to remember that she was young once and I'm pretty sure she made mistakes. Shame on you T, this is a classic example of bullying in the workplace.

Such a lovely coffee shop with tasty snacks and moreish coffee! The staff are so friendly, warm and welcoming. It’s also dog friendly, which is perfect for us to take our lab, and lovely to meet other happy and friendly doggies. There are also gluten free options for me to enjoy alongside my coffee. Overall a fantastic place to meet friendly faces and enjoy some refreshments after a long dog walk

The Lucky Duck Cafe is situated just on the left inside Welton Memorial Hall; it’s a fantastic cafe offering a lovely selection of cakes, bakes, sausage rolls and of course tea and coffee. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, there is limited seating inside the cafe and more seating outside. Service was fast and efficient, the coffee was amazing. I also had the biscoff traybake which was excellent, not too heavy, lovely sponge and excellent icing; perfect combination between light and fluffy with the taste to match. Based on my visit I would totally recommend for coffee and a snack if you’re visiting the area.
