This is a new long stay carpark to supplement the spaces at the Brough railway station. There is a walk through path which should take approx 8 mins to walk, however the car park is on the other side of the train tracks which means that when the barriers are down (sometimes for 2 trains or 3 with a very brief opening of the road), the route is inaccessible, necessitating a brisk 10 minute walk in the other direction or an uncertain wait. The car park itself is small but has well marked parking bays; no ticket machines just details for the APCOA app. We needed 2 days parking however it was only possible to do the first day indicating no future bookings. Later I had the option to extend, however entering the next days date appeared to cancel the current booking; a phone call later in the day, involving a long wait time gave the same information so I had to wait until midnight to book the second day’s parking.🤷‍♀️ Never had an issue in other APCOA car parks. Would not recommend using this carpark if there is any space in the original and definitely would advise against solo travellers using it for personal safety reasons.
