This shop offers fantastic advice and isn’t pushy when it comes to sales, they recommended another business for large tropicals which I really respect, and also recommended somewhere to get worms for my axolotl, which again is very commendable. I was offered very comprehensive and honest advice about moving to marine, and I could tell this family business genuinely cares about their livestock and also the hobby. Even though in the end I only spent £6 on some axolotl pellets, I came away feeling reassured that in future if I need honest advice or guidance from people who genuinely care about the hobby and not ripping you off, this is a really fantastic place to go. Marine selection was spectacularly well priced, I haven’t seen anywhere that’s simply this reasonable for marine fish but especially frags/coral which are all immaculate. Even though the owner knew I was only really looking for advice (given none of the tropical fish were large enough for my tank) I felt she really took the time to fully explain and give proper grounded information on how to jump into marine from tropical, so I really do appreciate that and I’ll be sure to be back. Thank you once again for the advice and time you took to explain the process, and at the point I’m in the market, I will certainly be back. If you want small tropicals this is a fantastic shop, as I pointed out the word octopus meant I never found it before, if you want marine it’s genuinely excellent and very fairly priced.

I had a very poor experience with Aquatics Octopus 8. I trusted them with the setup and water for my marine tank, only to later discover that the water they supplied had extremely high nitrate levels. Unfortunately, this resulted in the loss of numerous fish and caused a great deal of stress and disappointment. At the time, I believed the water was fine and even contacted Octopus 8 with the test results from the barrel of water they provided. Despite this, the issue was not properly resolved. It was only after consulting a different aquatics specialist that the problem was quickly identified and rectified. As a result of this situation, I lost a significant amount of money—thousands spent on livestock, equipment, and ongoing costs—all based on advice and water I trusted from Octopus 8. This is yet another bad experience and report to add to the list. Overall, I will not be returning and cannot recommend them based on my experience. Although they are warming and helpful I really cannot return due to a problem too which has caused me to loose alot of money, also too face another issue with there corals making my tank absolutely riddled with pest star fish too is yet another problem that was never there until I bought a coral off these guy 🤯🤯🤯.... All in all save you money and travel further and research extensively

Best aquatics shop in the region for tropical and Marine(including coral). Owner (and mother) are super knowledgeable, no question is a problem for them from silly questions to in-depth technical ones. Genuinely wouldn’t go anywhere else as I’ve experienced sick animals, bad advice and terrible customer service, of which I’ve had none from here. Cherry on the top, some of the cutest guard dogs known to man are often on watch 😂
