Wow. What an amazing stay we had. Wickerley was the perfect family rental, lovely big bedrooms with views across the fields to the water, proper bathrooms with showers and baths, it was really clean throughout and a well appointed kitchen was great for getting together over meals and beautiful big gardens. They even had a warm pool, and woodland walks, both of which the kids loved. The team were super welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. I’m so pleased we got to stay at this wonderful family home and can’t recommend it enough - can’t wait to go back. Thank you to Will and his family for a really special stay.

Stayed at Wickersley House last weekend and it was spectacular. What an incredible building. I felt honoured to stay there and feel the history and love that fills each room. The personal touches made it extra special and each room tells a story. The grounds were amazing and so well kept. I can’t wait to go back with more friends and family. Feeling relaxed, rejuvenated and full of lovely memories with family. If you want to feel a home from home, this is the place.

I stayed at Wickersley House and couldn’t be more impressed. From the moment I walked in, it felt like a boutique hotel meets home-away-from-home. The modern décor and fresh renovation really stand out; the bathrooms are especially striking. Key highlights: •Superfast, reliable WiFi, ideal whether you’re working or streaming. •Fully equipped kitchen + stylish living spaces, great for families or groups wanting comfort and flexibility. •Private parking on site, plus a quiet, convenient street location with easy access to transport links. •The host’s attention to detail, fresh linens, smart-lock check-in, and excellent cleanliness elevated the whole stay. If you’re seeking a comfortable, stylish place for business or family stays, do yourself a favour and book Wickersley House. Highly recommended, we will definitely be back.

Recently stayed and Wickersley House on the 26th Sept upon arrival everything seemed lovely good communication with Gill and the grounds are kept very well and the pool area is clean. However once you enter the property and look beneath the surfaces it’s a very different story. In all rooms there was some form of bugs that have not been removed in all corners of every room. There was a couch that was sellotaped across the back, under bed side tables was dust that has not been cleaned for a very long time. The sauna does not heat up, the back door does not lock, the rug in the living has tears in it and is hid by a sofa and the dirt on it is disgusting. All the wood work is filthy, it looks like the house is cleaned where the eye can see it however it should be deep cleaned after every use. There was a sign that says try to flush in 10 mins if it does not flush properly. Windowsills are rotted and wood coming away in living room from damp. In the little sitting room next to the kitchen the couch cushions are all flat and desperately worn. House is in need of a lot of tlc. If you expect basic cleanliness when going away for the weekend this house is not for you

We were unfortunate and had to cancel our stay at Wickersley House. Whilst I cannot comment on the house I can on William’s communication. He was extremely helpful in providing us with the information to allow us to book for my elderly parents and very understanding when we had to cancel due to my mother being very unwell. She remains in hospital but I am hopeful that when she is well we will come visit William and Gill and stay in this lovely house.
