Description
Come and join our small friendly gliding club run by club members. We are located just south of Selby on the A19 and close to Junction 34 M62.
Originally the club was started in Doncaster in 1960 as Doncaster and District Gliding Club next to the race course. The Club relocated to the Ex RAF Burn airfield in 1984 where we have remained for the last 34 years.
We still have a few flying and social members from the Doncaster days. The club has a number of two seater trainer gliders and we recently refurbished our 1968 K13 two seater glider.
We have Aerotow and Winch launching available. We also benefit from thermals provided from the nearby power stations and have tarmacked runways, so we can fly all year round.
