Burythorpe House

Lovely find. Lynn was extremely helpful while I was booking over the phone and dealt with a problem straight away. Very professional. The hotel is situated in a lovely quiet location. Very comfy, staff extremely helpful and friendly. Fantastic hearty breakfast. The evening menu was very yummy. Not too far into the city of York. Thank you so much booking us in last minute and a fantastic stay. Would definitely recommend a stay here.

What a fabulous place. The staff were all amazing, chatty and helpful and couldn't do enough for our party. The building is gorgeous,in a beautiful setting. Food delicious. Would highly recommended.

Lovely country house hotel with friendly helpfully staff. Open fires and a nice restaurant. Breakfast and dinner was good although a little wider choice would be better if you are staying for a few nights. Look forward to hopefully staying again soon.

We had a fantastic time at Burrythorpe. The staff were friendly, courteous and professional, nothing was too much trouble. Our room was wheelchair friendly albeit the ramp was a little steep to use unaided. The bathroom would have benefited having a wall seat, but no problem as I took my own shower stool. The setting is beautiful and the main areas of Burrythorpe, are warm and comfortable. To sum up the whole experience, Burrythorpe is like putting on an old pair of slippers, and putting your feet up in front of the fire. I would highly recommend a visit, good quality food and reasonable prices.

Great find. Staff very welcoming. Room very comfortable and clean. Food fabulous and gluten free options available on request. Great place to base yourself if visiting Pickering for the steam trains, Malton and surrounding areas.
