Meadowhall Riverside Playground

A really good hidden playground! My toddler loved it. We visited about 10am on a Sunday and had the playground to ourselves.

Good free playground located just outside of the food courts of Meadow hall. Playground is accessible via two entrances in the fence via combination lock. The playground is generally open during business hours, but have found it locked due to inclement weather. Playground has slide, climbing, swing, play house, musical steps, swing boat and sand play pit. There is also a play water area, but this has not been active for a while, possibly seasonal. Nice fenced playground with a raise auditorium type steps for where adults can observe. Good playground, highly recommend to help burn off some energy after food, before cinema or shopping excursions.

Really unaccessible and unfair to those in a wheelchair that see other children can have fun when they don't. Was looking forward to the water bit, but it's not working and would struggle to reach. No ramps onto decking areas. A wheelchair swing or roundabout would be nice. Would be nice for there to be a smaller slide for young or disabled child. Sort it out😀

Fantastic place to take children, with big slide, sand area with toddler swing, various climbing frames, children's hand water pump that fills a very shallow paddling stream. The whole area is covered with very soft flooring material so no injuries when falling, lots of seating for adults and children( And its all totally free). Just the place for kiddies to burn off excess energy.

Fab for a free park. Lots to do. Lots of variety. Water, sand, sensory and regular park activities. Nice aand spacious asnd good for sitting and watching your children safely closed in away from a road or a carpark.
