PizzaExpress

This was my second time visiting Pizza Express at Meadowhall in the last few months and I ended up having the same server I had last time. He was lovely back then and he was just as lovely this time round. I wish I got his name but unfortunately I didn’t. The guy who welcomed me and showed me to my table (blonde hair and glasses) was just as friendly as well. Both staff members are a testament to Pizza Express. I came to the restaurant by myself and felt a little awkward initially (this being my first time ever dining alone) but their manner put me at ease instantly. My food came out very quickly and was hot. The pesto pasta was very nice, and there was plenty of it so I didn’t go hungry 😋 Both servers asked me whether I had the app which prompted me to download it and I ended up getting the side free through the app, so this was greatly appreciated. Overall excellent service and experience and I’ll definitely be back!

It was my first time at Pizza Express and I liked it! We went with 3 people and didn't have to wait for a table which was great. We used an offer for 2 pizzas and 2 sides which was good. The food was delicious, friendly staff and the atmosphere was nice. I would definitely download the pizza express app to use the offers and discounts as you get good deals there too. I would definitely come back and recommend it to everyone.

Had a really enjoyable visit yesterday. We ordered the Burnt Ends pizza and the lasagna, and both were excellent, full of flavour and cooked perfectly. The staff were great throughout, but a special mention to the front of house gentleman who found us a table. He was more than helpful and made sure we had enough space for a wheelchair user, which we really appreciated. Friendly, attentive service and great food, we’ll definitely be back.

Went for a family meal. Lovely service from Annabelle the waitress, who could tell it was improtant for us to order promptly with young children and went out of her way to support us and get food and drinks ordered and brought quickly. The open kitchen was great and our son loved chatting with Chef Logan & watching him make our pizzas. Lovely interaction added to our experience. The pizzas were lovely but it did feel quite expensive, tho that is par for the course eating out these days & not unique to pizza express.

We encountered a problem with the service that was concerning. We noticed our server plating desserts with bare hands, which immediately made us uncomfortable. We flagged down the manager, who responded promptly and professionally. Unfortunately, the server in question reacted immaturely, even making a sarcastic comment about offering the desserts to other staff members in the kitchen. The manager apologised sincerely and offered to replace them with fresh desserts. We appreciated his swift handling of the situation, but after that incident we declined the replacements. The ambience of the restaurant was pleasant and calm. It was quite quiet and not too busy, which was appreciated. The seating was comfortable. Overall, the relaxed atmosphere was a welcome aspect of our visit, especially since we had a small child with us. Unfortunately, the food didn’t impress us and didn’t feel worth the £63 we spent on two set menus and a kids meal. The mozzarella sticks starter was decent and the only dish that stood out positively. Otherwise, most items were just average. The chicken wings starter lacked any real flavour, the lemon and herb seasoning barely came through. Even simple things like the salad in the kids meal and the garnishes on our pizza and pasta wasn’t fresh. We’ve enjoyed meals here in the past, but this visit fell short of expectations. Given how much we usually like this location, it was disappointing, and we won’t be returning anytime soon.
