Nice chapli kebab and Katwa gosht. Charsi karahi was nice but not exactly the taste I was expecting. Kabuli pulao was ok, rice too oily but meat was flavourful. Service was good (went on a quite Sunday night). Spacious sitting for families. Some steps to get into the restaurant. No sweet option other than donuts and chai.

Service is good and it’s local with basic deco however the food is nasty!! No taste or flavour. Both curries wasn’t freshly cooked and so much ghee/oil I’m surprised America hasn’t invaded it! Just avoid. Pilau rice just so greasy. Waiters were kind and polite but the food was dead. Just avoid.. never again!

We hosted friends over dinner at Shinwari. Due to size of our group, we were given one side of the restaurant where seatings were arranged pre-arrival so that we can get evening for ourselves. Food was on point be it dum pukht, shinwari lamb, charsi chicken and chapli kebabs followed by chai and brownies with ice-cream. Honestly, I cannot pick highlight of the day, probably dum pukht with its presentation as everything was very tasty and prices were decent. Overall, Staff has been very accommodating. They were under-resourced at times meaning your hosting responsibilities might require kick in. Also, if you are a group of 10-15, try using the traditional sitting space which is quite a unique setting. Sheffield people, you do not need to go Derby, Manchester or Bradford for authentic food because Shinwari is here!

⭐☆☆☆☆ Good Waiters but Extremely Slow Kitchen Service Visited Shanwari Cuisine and was really disappointed with the long waiting times. The waiters on the floor were good, polite, and respectful, but the kitchen staff was extremely slow. We waited over 45 minutes for the chicken botti starter and more than an hour for the main course after ordering. The delay completely ruined the dining experience. Management really needs to improve the kitchen speed and coordination.
