HSBC Sheffield Meadowhall

I am a Muslim woman and I wear the niqaab. In the past, I have had mixed experiences while wearing it, so when I came in today to collect my card and knew I would need to prove my identity, I felt very nervous. I was worried about having to lift my niqaab and unsure how staff would respond if I asked for privacy or a female member of staff, so I brought my mum with me for support. From the moment we walked in, Courtney was incredibly welcoming and greeted us with a warm smile. When I explained why I was there and showed my identification, she immediately offered to take me to a private booth before I even had to ask. This may seem like a small gesture, but to me it meant so much and made me feel comfortable, respected, and at ease. My mum was also very happy with how kind and thoughtful Courtney was. Thank you so much to Courtney for her professionalism, compassion, and for making me feel seen and respected. Experiences like this truly make a difference, and I am very grateful.

I recently visited the Meadowhall branch regarding an overseas claim, which initially felt quite daunting. However, the HSBC representative, Zalekha, was exceptionally helpful and professional. She dedicated over an hour to assisting me with the completion of my paperwork and kept me consistently updated via email throughout the process. Her support went above and beyond my expectations, demonstrating a level of care and commitment I have not experienced with any other bank.

Visited HSBC Meadowhall with a query which could have been quite stressful, but was dealt with competently, professionally and successfully by Emily C. She was courteous, helpful, supportive and efficient, and deserves a pay rise! Thank you Emily for helping us today, it was a pleasure to meet you.

The one useful function of this branch is gone: the coin deposit. Apparently I can bag them myself and take them to the city centre. No thanks. Banked with HSBC for 30 years. Time for a change.
