My anxiety goes through the roof every time I call the surgery knowing it's going to result in "NO APPOINTMENTS AVAILABLE". Other options might be offered but not always the best for some patients. Very worrying that we can't get an appointment with our Dr when we need one!🙁
Good luck trying to get an appointment, i had to wait 12 weeks to see a Dr. Cancelled on the day on me twice. Seats in surgery been broken for over a year, reception police not very helpful. Not the best GP surgery around. Always fully booked but rarely more than 2 or 3 waiting in surgery. Refuse maunjaro saying sheff nhs does not issue it yet other surgeries do ! Hmm
Recently joined Wincobank Medical Centre and I am very satisfied with their service so far! The registration process was clear and fast, staff was helpful and polite. I called twice for appointment and everytime I was booked on the day!
Having read other reviews I was pessimistic about being able to secure an 'on the day' appointment. This appeared to be confirmed when I rang at 8.00am and was told that I was number 14 in the queue. However, I reached the front of the queue about seven or eight minutes after dialling and was offered an appointment that afternoon. The GP that I saw was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. My one reason for not giving five stars is that there isn't always a receptionist at the reception counter and it can be difficult to attract the attention of staff who are in the back room.
Really disappointing experience. Six weeks of waiting for an appointment. Ten minutes of talking through symptoms. GP response was to push a piece of paper at me that simply said "4 weeks". Have made another appointment for four weeks, but feel angry, frustrated and helpless, both with the GPs and the broken communications between different parts of the NHS. I basically show up every two months at the surgery to repeat myself to a new doctor. Urgh.
