Went to this store this morning and asked for some change so I can get a trolley as I had my little baby with me. The lady on the counter named Maureen refuses to give me change as I could clearly see a lady before me got some change off her for trolley too. Then spoken to the assistant manager named Nicola and she spoken to Maureen on the counter and came back and said we can’t give you change. I asked to speak to the manager but the both refused saying the manager isn’t in the store today. I think this is because I am a Muslim with a beard and my wife was dressed in Islamic outfit too. I’m very sad that I have been treated like this as I do a lot of community work and treat everyone with love and care regardless of how they look . I don’t discriminate so I don’t feel it’s fair to be discriminated against . I want the manager to look into it and come back to me as this is considered hate crime and I feel like I have been targeted .

Large store very well equipped plenty of stock but it's not like original poundland when everything was a actual pound clothing was I thought quite good value and a few things are still a pound competitive prices on everything as to be said but I preferred it as it used to be but times change very friendly and helpful staff

The staff member tasha was the rudest person ive ever met , chomping gum in our face , shouting from across the till telling us to move out the way for someone as the till was playing up even though said lady had already told us we could go in front , someone needs to give her a talking too

Great store, recently opened in autumn 2022. Really good range of products, of course at a great price and bigger than the nearby Meadowhall store. Everything isn't £1 any more, although lots of things are, but I think everyone's probably used to this now (then again probably not... feel sorry for the staff lol) but the prices are very reasonable for everything! The Pep & Co clothing range is great, especially for baby clothes and is excellent value.
