The Café at Park Rose

Went for lunch after visiting the animal park. Ordered kids meal, ham and cheese toastie and chicken wrap. Got given a fish finger wrap after waiting 20 minutes for food. I took it back and it took an extra 15 minutes. I wanted a scone in the meantime and that took 5 minutes to even be prepared. The wrap was awful (was soggy and tasteless) even when I finally got given the correct order. The other meals were edible but I left mine. Service was just as bad and the middle aged lady was shouting at one of the kitchen staff in front of the whole cafe. There were other tables complaining and some even left before they could order as they were waiting 10 mins+ before they were even greeted at the till. Definitely don’t recommend at all!

What a wonderful little cafe! I would give it more than 5* if I could. Clean. Lovely staff. Quick service. The best food I have ever tasted 👌 well priced and comes with a lovely view of the local peacocks wondering around outside. I will be coming back with family so they can try the food too! The server with bright green hair is unprofessional and openly rude. She argued back about a sandwich being a bap not sliced bread and then stuck out her tongue and made a errr sound. I was told the manager was not in and a gentleman came to see me and asked if I said please to the rude obnoxious girl. Will definitely not be visiting the cafe again I recommend a picnic and the animal park

So expensive and not great. We ordered a kids jam sandwich meal which was £5.50 and came in a small bag with half a pack of crisps next to it! Couldn't believe it. I also ordered some cheesy chips at £4.55 which when came was a small bowl of chips with what looked like a cheese slice melted on top! The girl who served us was also bad talking about a previous customer. The toilets were filthy. Our order came to £33 for a scone, a small cake, pot of tea, can of drink, child's jam sandwich, cheesy chips and lasagne.

Had a cuppa in here before visiting the neighbouring animal park...the food coming out looked decent so we decided to return for dinner. The kitchen had just closed when we returned, but they were good enough to take our order, which was much appreciated. We were pleased they did, because all 5 of us were very happy with what we got...excellent food and good value. Would highly recommend!
