Very helpful in returning a postal order that was no longer needed when other branches wouldn’t help.
The post office promote the no fuss digital passport renewal service for a price of £16 in addition to the £75 passport fee. You state "WE "will fill out the forms.. WE will check it, WE will take your photo... basically do it all for me! I thought that sounds good.... However....not true..!! Went to the post office with old passport in hand. Cashier directs ME to a photo booth in the corner, where she informs ME i need £6 pounds for the photo booth, ( you need pound coins) then "I" could come back and "I"could fill out the application forms on a tablet.. Then "I" could send the form from the post office digitally.. so basically It would have cost £22 not £16 as advertised... and "I" would have the privilege of paying "you" post office for doing absolutely nothing... I left and did it myself.. You should not really promote a service that doesn't do as advertised.
I don't really appreciate being talked down to by the scruffy female assistant. She suggested in future, I read my emails because I had the audacity to put my amazon return in the packaging it came in! Perhaps I don't want you to see what I'm returning. Just stick it in the return bag like your boss does! Knew she was trouble, when the first thing she did was to scan my phone with the wrong scanner.
Appalling service I have had with this branch. I thought this branch had Christmas stamps for my Christmas cards I sent abroad. I asked the woman behind the counter about having Christmas stamps on my posts. Reluctantly replying me, she weighed my posts, just printed the ordinary posting labels and pasted them on my posts, without saying a thing nor if I could get Christmas stamps on them! I had to ask. When I did, she said there was no stamp for the weight of my cards. First of all, why was she not clear enough to me about this especially before printing the labels? Secondly why was she not combining few stamps to get close to the value of my postage? I didn't mind to pay more. Last year other post office offered such service. But she didn't ever ask or offer me that option. By the way that was around 4.30 pm on Monday 22 Nov and I think she was just hurrying to finish the day though the post office should only close at 5 pm. It is the only post office in the town centre but you should greatly improve your customer service.
Would give 0 stars if possible, the most horrible, disrespectful staff I have ever encountered. A middle aged Asian man told me they were closing for lunch for an hour. When I returned, he decided to eat a packet of crisps halfway through serving me and got them all over my parcel. A elderly lady with glasses served me for a parcel posting, in which she stopped halfway through to talk to a customer and her colleague about food which meant she sent my parcel to the wrong address AND sent it as the wrong class. I returned to get this amended ten minutes later and all 3 staff were horribly aggressive and shouting at me which they justified as "sticking up for their colleague". As a carer, I have been in before with a registered blind lady wearing both blind glasses and using a 5ft long visual impairment cane with a bright pink handle. The woman behind the counter pointed at a stand and told her to go get a leaflet and read it. There are many more instances of staff not acknowledging customers because they are talking amongst themselves, and then serving them incorrectly due to it and being very nasty when asked to correct their mistakes. Avoid this place at all costs.
