We booked the Heifer, specially for my son's Army passing out parade celebratory family meal. Booked a table for 7 people. Its's a gorgeous building and the interior is bang on perfectly transformed, and making an old building to todays taste and standards . The food was absolutely fabulous, so so tasty, they have a good choice on the menu , not a long wait for our food , and it's all cooked there and then , so fresh & perfect . We had starters, main and puddings to die for , we all tried each others as all looks so tasty. We had a lovely special evening at the Heifer, I must apologise as I some of our group were rather loud with laughter on the evening and some got a tad tipsy celebrating. Most of our family did sample lots of the drinks menu, making proper fresh cocktails , and being on hand to cater for our group. A massive thank you for a super special evening celebrating my son's special day in his military career. Thank You.

The food was absolutely amazing, and it was clear that the chefs put a lot of care into their work. Each dish was a delightful experience, with flavors that complemented each other perfectly. The presentation of every meal was also impressive, making it a treat for the eyes. Service overall was good, and the staff was attentive to every need. They ensured that everyone was well taken care of throughout the entire dining experience. The atmosphere of the place was cozy and welcoming, adding to the overall positive experience. The lady who served us came across as a bit abrupt and even sarcastic, which made a few on the table feel a little uncomfortable. I wondered if this was just her personality or if something else was going on that day, but her tone made it difficult to fully enjoy the experience. Perhaps she was having a bad day, or maybe that's just her way of communicating 🤷‍♀️. It's tough to say for sure without knowing more about the situation. I'm hoping it was just a one-off thing, and others have had a better experience. Ultimately, I try not to jump to conclusions and give people the benefit of the doubt 🙏. Over all was a great time, and would definitely come back here!

Our first visit but not our last. Food was excellent, and I loved the small plate menu for those of us who want room for dessert. Good value. Staff very friendly and helpful.

As a coeliac I found the food and the service absolutely fantastic. The staff are extremely knowledgeable about not only dietary requirements but also the issue of cross contamination. We called today for Sunday lunch….2 of our party were ‘normal’ and I was gluten free. There was a lot of choice on the menu, however I decided on the roast chicken Sunday lunch……it was delicious and I EVEN GOT A YORKSHIRE PUDDING 🥰. I finished with the salted caramel parfait…..um um ummmmmm 😋. Thank you very much for a most enjoyable and delicious experience. We will be back.

Was really looking forward to this as read the very good reviews. Probably ordered the wrong food, the crab on crumpet started didn’t work for us and the chicken parmo was too much of a stodge which I struggled to eat. The wife’s chicken on the other hand was very good. Little put off as spent £120 on a meal for two and didn’t enjoy. As I say probably the wrong choices.
