This gym is terrible. I have tried to cancel my membership. They dont even allow you to email them or get contact. No heating just not a place you can actually workout. I have a medical condition so cant tolerate cold. So makes it impossible to use. Just have to keep paying until my year is up. March thank god. As will never use again.

It’s a really good gym with lots a great equipment the dumbells are very odd and that the reason why I cancelled my membership. If they just had ordinary dumbells and not strange spinning ones I would be there everyday.

Its a shame because this could be a good little gym. A decent selection of equipment to use. The biggest let down is that there are very few people that put weights away after use. I have been a few times now and each time, machines are left stacked with weights and plates not put away properly.

Very odd set up and unfortunately won’t be returning. Today is opening day…no staff on site?! Completely unmanned. No opening times? No contact numbers? Emails? No way of contacting anyone. App activated door lock doesn’t work as it should but there’s no one to ask? The Facebook page stages ‘the very best kit’ - years ago maybe but some of it looks older than me. And I am still shaking my head at the sunbed setup! Two sunbeds about 4 ft apart, separated by knee height curtains that are in three separate parts. So you are totally naked, with a thin scrap of material separating you from anyone that walks in the door, the other sunbed user or anyone using the three Pilates beds another 4ft away. The curtains barely meet where they close. I am genuinely stunned at whoever looked at that once installed and thought ‘yep that’ll do’. I could go on but these reviews only allow so many words. Very VERY disappointing to say the least. Editing to respond - Regarding your comment about a free trial month….whether or not other businesses offer this is irrelevant? I would not have even considered signing up had I known this was going to be a completely unmanned facility. My point is that this is not mentioned anywhere. There were a number of other people in the gym at the time we arrived, all as utterly perplexed as we were as to why - not even on opening day - there was not a single member of staff present! What if someone needs to ask about a piece of kit? What if someone is injured? If you want to run your gym like that fair enough BUT you need to let your customers know BEFOREHAND so they know what they will be spending £25/£35 a month on. Especially since the cancellation process required us to contact you via the business you work next door too! Also, knowing someone that once worked in your Newton Aycliffe gym some time ago does not have any relevance whatsoever on this review, the set-up is poor whichever way you look at it. And as for the sunbeds I cannot believe you even feel you can defend that set up? There is quite literally NOTHING from stopping any other gym member from entering that room, pulling back those curtains and lifting the lid of either sunbed exposing whoever is inside. Nothing whatsoever. The air from the door closing alone will whip those flimsy curtains open exposing whatever poor sod is naked behind them. There’s not even anywhere decent to put your clothes!y husband room pictures of the sunbed set up so I will add those to this review once he sends them over. The fact that you feel able to brush off this genuine review as some sort of sabotage campaign is a shame.

Good gym overall, plenty of equipment to choose from. I called the staff when I was having issues entering and he was very quick to respond, friendly and helpful. Would recommend
