Used to really love this place, however, the last few times I've visited the fish has been the smallest portion and is mostly made up of grease. There is no crunch to the batter, and the portions sizes are inconsistent, my fish was what I would expect for £9, my partners however, I think they must have given him a child fish, that or they had spare lunch time specials they needed rid of. Said I wouldn't go back after the last time, but this time i mean it. I will take my business elsewhere for my weekly fish and chips. Think some of the staff have lost their drive to deliver quality food, not to mention a half decent greeting and a smile. If you want nice fish and chips, I suggest DRAKES, a third of the price, tasty batter and a half decent portion.

Just been for the second time today . The size of the fish was very small ! The first time the size was bigger . Taste wise it was good but to charge full price for the size of the fish ( I can only say kiddy portion)

Staff are always friendly, never had a bad meal from this chippy and the portion sizes are always good. Love that everything is made to order and not sat under a heatlamp for ages

Second time trying this fish shop. First time really good. My husband had an amazing fish. So I went back to get what we thought would be 2 large haddock which turned out to be quite small and not very nice at all. Had large haddosck and peas each. Tbh i could hardly eat it. Peas were good. Was a very hot night. Fish tasted off. Paid same price as before for but for half size of fish. Don't think will be going back a third time.
