West End Guest House in Richmond, North Yorkshire is an old Victorian farmhouse offering 4 star 'Visit Britain' Gold and breakfast awarded, bed and breakfast accommodation in a very homely environment with guaranteed private off road parking, en-suite rooms (except for one single room which comes with private facilities), home cooking and locally sourced produce.

We have a super king ensuite room (can be changed to a twin on request), 2 double en-suite rooms, a twin en-suite room , a single ensuite (double bed) and a single room with private facilities (i.e. separate shower and toilet for sole use). All of the upstairs rooms apart from the single room have original fireplaces, decorative coving and high ceilings. The ground floor room (i.e. a double en-suite with some disabled facilities) is suitable for those with limited mobility but not for wheelchair access. Each of the rooms has FreeSat TV, Tea and Coffee making facilities, a hairdryer, quality toiletries and soft towels. Wifi access is also available upon request. We regret we cannot accept children under 10 or pets.

Situated in a very peaceful location, our home provides the perfect base for exploring Richmond, the North Yorkshire Dales and surrounding areas whether on foot, by bicycle, motorcycle or by car. One can stroll along the River Swale into Richmond itself or enjoy the many other pleasurable walks around the Old Georgian Market town or, one can simply catch the little red bus from outside our property and head into the Dales National Park to explore some of the most beautiful unspoilt scenery in the UK. You can walk along the very well known 'Wainwright Coast to Coast' path (5 minutes away) or enjoy many of the wonderful mountain biking and running trails in the area. The Coast to Coast cycle route passes through the town and we can provide cycle storage and a repair service.

Our home is also perfect for those working or on business in the area. It is ideal for those travelling North or South and would like to break up their journey. It is also perfect for those wanting to visit family or friends in the area, in particular those at Catterick Garrison Camp located 3 miles away. A regular bus service operates to and from Darlington and, to and from Catterick.

West End House B&B in North Yorkshire was built in the mid 19th century and is quite an interesting property having retained much of its charm and character over the years. Originally a farmhouse, it boasts a beautiful open staircase, some high ceilings, original fireplaces and decorative ceilings but most importantly of all, it is tucked away in a very peaceful location away from the noise of the traffic on the cobbled streets and the setting up of the Market Stall in the early hours of the morning.

We offer a very warm welcome, a restful homely environment and guaranteed private off road parking. The house is beautifully presented throughout and we have some disability facilities, cycle storage and can offer the services of a bicycle mechanic. We are also very knowledgeable on the surrounding area as we are both keen walkers, runners and cyclists.
