Absolutely fantastic pub! The food here is freshly made and tastes amazing. A couple of months ago, I had the fish and chips, and it was honestly one of the best I’ve ever had – perfectly crispy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. I recently came back for a Sunday Roast, and it didn’t disappoint at all. The quality and taste were just as impressive. The chef clearly knows what he’s doing – every dish is made with perfection. I highly recommend this place to everyone. Whether it’s your first visit or you’re coming back like I did, you won’t leave disappointed. I’ll make sure to stop by every time I’m in the area! A perfect place to stop for hikers for a pint and amazing food. Highly recommended!
Stopped by today for lunch. Was hoping for a quick sandwich but ended up having a roast dinner. I had pork loin and my wife had walnut roast Both were incredibly delicious. The pork came with crackling and delicious apple sauce. Everything about the meal was perfect including the stuffing. The veggie options was amazing too Great atmosphere, friendly staff and great music. Will definitely go again!
Bloody brilliant food, ambiance and service!! The Sunday roast was wonderful, beef was pink and the cauliflower cheese was cheesy!! The very best thing on the plate was the stuffing ball- was light and fluffy and so very tasty! The food was so good that we had to share a desert- wow!!!! Sticky toffee pudding was exceptional :) And a fire for the man- in the middle of the British summer!! Yay
This is a brilliant pub! The food was absolutely superb. Highly recommend the steak pie - been a minute since ive had a pie as good as this one! The landlady couldn't have been more welcoming or friendly and she made our visit to the White Lion one to remember. The games were a great touch too and all added to the experience. Will definitely be back... hopefully soon!
Amazing food! I think it’s the best pub food I’ve ever had in my life! I had seabass and risotto, and it was delicious. The portion was massive, and very tasty! My friends ordered gammon steak, lasagna, steak pie, and cod fish, and they all are very good!
