a lovely local pub, with excellent prices and good food for the price. we had a large group and all our food came out in good time together. the beer glasses were clean but the other glasses did have black bits floating inside. good drinks and really friendly helpful staff, just a shame about the toilets!
Very friendly pub. Great prices, Great food and dog friendly 😊🐶🍲😋 of local call in for a pint and a meal. The menu is updated daily too. Thank you for having me and my dogs 😊
Wow, this place is bad! Apart from the staff being friendly enough and the drinks were decent, this is a place to avoid. The ladies room had one of two stalls with no seat, and no toilet paper. The walls were covered in black mold. My husband confirmed the men’s room was the same. We both had fish and chips. The batter was soggy and the fish wasn’t even completely covered in batter. We left most of it and even left out drinks which were fine. We just couldn’t wait to leave.
Jesus take the wheel. Really unwelcoming atmosphere. Toilets so foul and mould-ridden I can only compare them to Chernobyl. Young girl behind bar was lovely but gaggle of locals in corner shooting daggers at anyone that dares to approach the bar need a talking to. Short lady (who we later discovered to be the owner) was incredibly rude to me and my gal-pals and squared up to us when we asked about missing food. Thankfully we found a lovely pub just a brisk walk around the corner where we could get our freak on.
Came in with me parents, partner, and toddler - super friendly welcome, cheap food, and good beer. It has character and heart, if you want a soulless pub then go elsewhere. Not enough pubs like this left. Get yourself a toasty, pint of Old Peculiar, and enjoy!
