Based in the centre of Hebden Bridge. We called on a Monday lunchtime which was very busy so im glad we'd booked. We had lunch which was lovely. We both had regular fish (haddock) & chips £17 each. The batter was very crispy and the fish was one of the best we've had, very thick, beautiful and white. The chips, however, were not to our taste, they had their skins on, which we like, but they were very chewy, not crispy. I had garden peas and my partner had mushy and we git a curry sauce (£2.50) to share, which was tasty but alittle runny. We were too full to have a dessert. Parking is a problem as there's limited spaces at the pub.

Absolutely gorgeous place, very impressive. Its perfectly situated and near all amenities. Very clean great friendly staff and smartly dressed. Food looked incredible we only had a starter to share which again was beautiful. They also have an offer on the specials board. Highly recommend and the ultimate bonus is they have rooms inside the pub/restaurant and outside at the rear which again looked fabulous. We will be back 100%

Lovely cosey warm pub interior and friendly staff but, the service was slow. We waited 10 minutes for drinks, 40 minutes for our main and needed the full 90 minutes of time before our table was due back to eat two courses and consume one drink each. Not because we didn’t want more, but because the staff didn’t check in on us to ask. I even had to go up to the desk to pay the bill as we were sat waiting some time so took the initiative. The food was nice and tasty but it’s not good value for what you get. Despite the friendly staff it’s a real shame as I’d bought a gift voucher for mum beforehand and I am slightly regretting it now.

This stay was part of a road trip staying in similar ancient coaching inns. This one definitely had a more modern feel to it. The room was to a high standard and the bed was the comfiest on the trip. Breakfast was excellent. The bar is cosy and a nice place to pass a few hours. Car park was fun! But if you can get parked it is free. Great location. Staff were all great.

We had a lovely one night stay and were pleasantly surprised to see the room we booked had been re-decorated and was more modern than the photos. The staff were all very friendly, located perfectly in town but quiet at night. Fire going downstairs, lovely atmosphere and the food was delicious. We will be back!
