Lovely location and spacious bedrooms. Would very much benefit from a downstairs cloakroom - three double bedrooms sharing one bathroom is not ideal. Functional rather than luxurious but advertises itself as dog-friendly so that is understandable. Do not rely on the wifi connection if you are hoping to work here; it is VERY spasmodic.
The House is conveniently situated beside the Cannal and perhaps next year I can visit by boat, as there is ample moorings for visitors. I traveled by car but the Railway Station is a short 5 mins walk away and the centre of Hebden Bridge itself is only a short walk away. The quiet tranquility of the House and Garden combines well with the care taken of Visitors by Juliet who lives there. I was part of a large group of International visitors, most of whom resided in the House and some camped nearby. A very well located base for our Expiditions to visit Bronte Country and explore Hardcastle Crags, as well as the many other attractions of the area. Soon, pottery lessons will be added to the opportunities whilst enjoying your stay. I heartily recommend this place and look forward keenly to a return visit. Mr Mike Drain
Seems nice.
Mayroad Mill House – the very first glimpse of the stately, leafy house from the Rochdale Canal enchanted me. The harmonious ambiance of the various bathrooms and rooms, especially the kitchen, made my heart race. But it was only the view through the beautiful large windows and a walk through the large, idyllic garden to the River Calder – I'm sure – that accommodation simply couldn't be more picturesque and paradisiacal! There are few more peaceful places to long for!
