Our 3rd stay in this beautiful place. The house has been restored with love and care and the whole experience of being at Elmet is about feeling welcome and at home. The decor and details are immaculate, the views outstanding and the setting and walks from the door just gorgeous. Close to some great little places to visit; Hebden Bridge, Haworth and Heptonstall. Highly recommended.
Totally wonderful holiday! The farmhouse has been beautifully renovated and is so comfortable that we hardly wanted to go out. The kitchen is amazingly well equipped (better than our own); the bathrooms are fabulous; the beds so comfortable. But it’s the decor: the lamps, the colours, the gorgeous mid century furnishings and all the thoughtful touches that make Elmet so special. We really appreciated the lovely scones and extras after our long drive. Lesley is a fantastic, thoughtful and kind host and has provided everything you could possibly need - including a huge collection of vintage board games and a comprehensive folder of information and maps. I haven’t mentioned the views - which are extraordinary, whatever the weather. I can’t imagine a nicer place to stay in Yorkshire. I’m sure we’ll be back.. THANK YOU!
Elmet Farmhouse is an absolutely wonderful place to stay. Characterful building with a mid century modern twist and spectacular views from both the rooms and outdoor seating area. We have stayed in Summer and in Autumn and it's a great place to watch the seasons turn. Delighted also with the wonderful welcome. Will definately go back next year
Elmet Farmhouse is a holiday let that is themed to a former Poet Laureate Ted Hughes. He was married to a renowned American poet, Sylvia Plath. She committed suicide using a gas oven, her children were in the house at the time. You can enjoy the ambiance of a coercive controller discussing his mackerel skies whilst enjoying the 1950/60's 'curated' decorations.
I was last here (of several visits) in 2020. This is a very relaxing oasis of peace and calm, beautifully furnished and appointed. The owner (Lesley) is always approachable and friendly and cares for the accommodation and the area equally.
