Things to note: Yew tree stump in the churchyard was apparently the tree Robin Hood made his last bow from. The sun dial near the entrance is likely on an ancient stone. Across the road is an old stocks and horse ramp, 100 yards up the road is The Walton Cross.

Beautiful church. Originally built in the 12th century and part of the build still exists from this period. Sun dials on the wall and on a large stone. An old yew tree stands in the grands and legend has it that Robin Hood made his final bow or arrows from the tree.

Lovely church BUT there's a massive housing estate going to be built next door and the old pub demolished. Another overpriced lego land I'm afraid , in order to fit in with the current government's plan to home those who have no right being here, over local people who desperately need homes!

Came to this church 11 years ago. A very friendly welcome and caring parishioners. I love the age of the church and the sense of belonging that prevails. There is no other place that I would like to worship - - God's presence is there. I am elderly and there is o other place where I wish to make my final farewell to this world. Barbara Lee. Please come and join us. You will be made so welcome.
