Quiet and lovely well maintained library, it’s an old listed building with stunning architecture. I highly recommend this place to visit. I hope the council will keep this building forever. Salute to the council for keeping the library.

The library itself is really great and all the staff that work there are really kind and helpful. They really need to get a drop box for returns of books. I would return quicker if I was able to post books outside of their opening hours. There have been a couple of times where I've been late on my return because I could not get there within the opening hours which isn't fair for other library users.

Enrol your kids and take them for a free Saturday morning of fun! Huge amount of Lego, colouring, treasure hunts, sometimes a cafe with home made cake! And of course lots of books to take home. Nice for the adults too, chat with other families, good coffee machine and books for all interests. A real Spen Valley treasure!

I used to live down road from Cleckheaton library & I used to visit regularly from 2007 to 2014 before I moved & I miss the hot chocolate for 50p from vending machine also Heckmondwike library isn't like Cleckheaton as no daily newspaper or much to choose from. Cleckheaton Library is a great place and much respect to staff as there really welcoming people. Sorely missed!📚

A fabulous Library and amazingly helpful staff. You're always made to feel welcome and they organise great event. Lego club is certainly a favourite in my house!
