Cars and motors cleckheaton

Bought a car off them, within 2 days of driving the engine light came on. Took to local garage as thought if it’s something minor will just pay myself rather than drive/tow back. What appeared at first to be a coolant leak is actually a blown head gasket and local garage have also found evidence something has been put in the engine to mask and/or slow down the overheating so “whoever” has done this knew about the issue. Will be in touch with receipts from local garage and to arrange returning the car for full refund.

Avoid at all costs, bought a car from them that seemed good. On the drive home it started misfiring, took it back, had this sorted. I then took it to my trusted mechanic who found that one of the rear shocks was mounted upside down, it had a nail in a tire and most worryingly, a noisy timing chain. Under warranty they were happy to look at the smaller issues but wouldn’t touch the chain. We got a full refund for the car, there’s a facebook group dedicated to these guys for a reason

Egregious. Awful cars and awful service. There is not one car they have on offer without faults. Came on Saturday, bought a Ford Fiesta, asked if it was ready to drive. They said yes. Filled out the paperwork, they took the car out of the salon for me and parked it directly on double yellow lines. Brilliant, already off to a great start. Quickly drove off and stopped into a sidestreet to insure and tax the vehicle. Turns out, the MOT expired in September despite the fact that when I explicitly asked about it, they said it was valid until April next year. Can't tax it because it doesn't have a valid MOT, can't drive it home because it doesn't have a MOT and isn't taxed. Went back to talk to them, salon is closed. Try to call them, nobody is answering. Now I will have to waste my Sunday going back and resolving this issue that should not have even existed. Absolutely awful and shows just how serious they are about the service they provide. Are they selling cars or toys? Save yourself the time and headache and do not buy a vehicle from them.

Avoid at all costs! I bought a Vauxhall Corsa from this place and it had a heating issue. I took it back, they claimed to have fixed it, but the same problem was still there. When I asked to return the car, the owner/manager was extremely rude and showed no compassion whatsoever. I had to bite my tongue just to get through the return process. I even ended up spending money on the car during the short week I had it. Just saw one of their adverts again and instantly recognised the garage — definitely steering clear! More like Cleckheaton Garbage Motors.

This is the 4th car we have bought from cleckheaton over the years. The latest one being a couple of weeks ago. Had a small issue with it a week later but it was dealt with quickly and ready to pick up a couple of days later. Customer service seems to have improved massively over the last few years. Will definitely return here again for any future purchase
