I took my car in for a Vauxhall safety recall. After dropping it off, the work was completed and a complimentary vehicle health check was carried out. Everything passed except the brake discs and pads, which were marked as “urgent.” Fair enough — thank you for bringing that to my attention. However, I then scrolled down to see the quoted price to replace them: £955.99. Frankly, that figure is outrageous. To be clear, I appreciate the recall work, the free health check, and the valet. But I took the car to Wilco Motosave later that same week and had the exact work done for £395. I’m not upset about being given that price — I’ve owned enough cars to know it was wildly inflated and that shopping around was the sensible option. My concern is for the people who wouldn’t know any better: the Bettys and Arthurs living on a pension, who put their trust in a main dealer and end up being charged more than double what the work should reasonably cost.

After being quoted for two days work and parts I was pleasantly surprised that the job was completed in half a day. After the initial three days of having the car for exploration. What I was really unhappy with was that the quote for two days work presumably including two days labour was what was paid despite taking 25% of the time. If you want transparency in pricing I would suggest elsewhere. They have also had my car in four times over the last three months and not once did it receive a complementary clean as stated.

Please be aware this is some kind of commercial car repair garage as it's primary function. It does still service personal vehicles but I've never had such a nightmare trying to simply get into a forecourt of a Garage before in my life, easily over 200 cars parked like sardines in a tin you can't safely move. This is classified as a motorbility garage, it is not wheelchair accessible there far no disabled toilets and there is hard plastic cold furniture to sit on for hours whilst you wait. I was also told by stoneacher as a motorbility customer that I could NOT have a curtasy car. And that I needed to have the vehicle assessed before they would issue one. I've never known this with motorbility before. When I mean you cannot even drive into the forecourt because of how many vehicles are just parked about I'm not even kidding It's a joke. Avoid at all costs.

Receptionist was friendly and efficient. Car was picked up and dropped off within the day. Excellent service under warranty

MOT and service. First customer in but to ld to collect between 4-5. Told them to look at some work while in for service... tell me the work wasn't done but could book it in for diagnostic another time @£140! No complementary internal clean done as listed on the handover... stoneacre won't be seeing me again.
