The Gym - Not the best, not the worst. Some of the equipment is great whilst others is very dated. Most of the staff are friendly. Can get very busy 5-7pm on weeknights but the rest of the time it is quiet enough to not need to wait for equipment. For a while the Music was awful and way too loud to the point where I wanted to leave, but they seem to have improved this. When the gym music is leaking through your own noise cancelling headphones you know it’s too loud and probably damaging hearing! A few suggested simple upgrades to the owners: 1. Have separate storage racks for all the weight plates rather than have to play hunt everytime you want to use a weights machine. 2. Adjust the heights of weight storage racks on equipment so the plates don’t overlap; another major nuisance. 3. Get a separate rack of dumbbells for the Hyrox studio so they don’t go missing from the weights room, it’s so annoying. 4. Perhaps have peak and off peak membership to manage demand? 5. Put pound and kilo labels on all the equipment so you don’t have to do maths everytime you change station
Been a member here for 12 months and about to renew for another year. Given the fact there’s loads of places I could go, renewing for another 12 months speaks volumes. Staff are welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable and professional. The lounge is a massive plus point for this place. Free tea and coffee and good food available during the day and a really nice relaxing and eye pleasing place to sit and spend time. Along with a huge selection of gym equipment and machine such at assault bikes and treadmills there’s also a large choice of free weights and weight training/resistance machines. Fit 26 also offer personal training, sports massage and a host of training and injury advice all of which I’ve accessed and used myself. An Alter G anti gravity treadmill is also available to use which is an amazing machine to use particularly when used in conjunction with injury recovery. Multiple classes are run everyday and there’s something for everyone. I can only see this place getting better and hear of some exciting new equipment updates in the pipeline.
Fantastic gym. Clean, big and has everything you need. Very helpful staff
Has anyone used them? My friend is considering joining, but they were told by one of their representatives that he can’t join online even though there’s an option. This representative also expressed concern about the lack of information on the website. Additionally, the free tour doesn’t include a sauna, but no information was provided about this either. So, basically, you need to commit to a 12-month membership without knowing what you’re signing up for. Unless we get clarification, I’d give them a one-star rating. o basically you need to commit to 12 months membership with knowing what you join, unless we got clarification just1 star
Signed up for ‘Get ready for summer offer’ which included PT sessions. Alisha PT has been amazing, she made me feel comfortable in the gym and inspired me to use machines which I would never have used. She listened to my aspirations which ultimately gave me the drive & confidence to visit the gym more than ever! I can really feel the difference in my fitness and now signed up as a full member. A friendly and well equipped gym.
