Holiday at Home

We are just packing up after a fabulous four-night stay at The Stables and I had to write this review before leaving because we were truly blown away. The quality of the lodge is outstanding, with beautiful finishing touches throughout. The Christmas tree and festive details made it feel extra special, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The managers are absolutely lovely and went out of their way to make sure our stay was perfect. They were always close by if we needed anything, which made us feel so well looked after. Thank you so much for such an amazing stay – we will definitely be back. An amazing getaway and one of the best we’ve had!

I do not recommend this company. We have stayed at four of their properties over the last two years and have always been pleased up until now. I have just received a phone call stating that we have damaged a sofa with scratch marks from our dog. We were amazed by how tatty the sofa was when we arrived and have taken multiple photos of it. The sofa had a blanket to cover most of the stains and marks which included scratches and multiple large stains. We presumed they had a sofa like this in the property because it is a dog friendly property and we had paid £40 for our dog to stay with us for 4 days. Our dog was caged when we left the property and didn’t not jump or go on the furniture as insinuated by the owners. I suggest that everyone does what we do and take good photos of furniture in poor condition at these properties otherwise you may well find yourself being asked for £250 to repair a scratched old sofa

Recently stayed with friends at Dexter House. We had a gorgeous few days there making life-time memories. Very spacious, fabulous interior design, stunning views of Yorkshire. Couldn’t recommend it more - 10/10

Lovely cottage. Everything we needed. So clean. Bonus 2 ensuite bedrooms which french doors to the patio area great for after using the hot tube. Lovely big garden. Idea if you're bringing a dog.

Excellently efficient, grown with them over the years and never had an issues with either the service or the ever expansion of the high end properties on offer cant recommend highly enough Gerard Barron
