When booking a table, someone over email confirmed they can make any dinner gluten free and that they can make gluten free Yorkshire puddings etc for when we arrive. We ate here and the dinner was very bland, they didnt have a gluten free Yorkshire pudding as stated and also no gluten free desserts available. Abit disappointing!

We had the Sunday roast which was amazing...Good selection of vegetables nice amount of meat which was tender. Lots of gravy. Food came out piping hot. A great traditional pub with a traditional menu. Made a nice rarity as a lot of pubs are now part of a chain going down the gastro menu. The pub was also very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Keep up the good work

Amazing service and hospitality when holding our Engagement party last weekend. Can’t express how grateful we are for the venue and the staff, such a lovely evening, great venue, fanatic staff and delicious food! Wouldn’t hesitate to book another function here, just fantastic! A credit to the team!

This was an upsetting experience. We were there for a family gathering and my aunt was treating us so none of us complained to avoid spoiling the atmosphere. The staff were abrupt and uncaring, even when we found a huge piece of plastic in the food, and they served us burned-black hard cold roast potatoes. They also cobbled together tables of differing heights for us, a party of 9, when this was booked so far in advance that should have been unnecessary. The food was excessively salty and clearly not fresh, despite the restaurant prices.

Cosy pub, serves good food and beer. Nice and clean inside, plenty of parking space. Was able to just walk in and get a drink and seat without booking. Easy to get to from A1 / Wetherby / Harrogate / Otley.
