Clever Accounts - Accounting service for limited companies

My experience with Clever Accounts has been extremely disappointing from start to finish. Over the time I was with them, I ended up being assigned three different “dedicated” accountants, and unfortunately each one seemed incompetent. There was no continuity, no accountability, and no real understanding of my situation. Despite paying monthly for 17 months, several serious issues were never resolved. I was charged penalty fees multiple times because of their mistakes, even though they repeatedly promised they would sort everything out. After 13 months from last promise, nothing was anywhere close to being resolved. What makes this even more shocking is that I am not an accountant, yet within a few weeks of handling things myself, I got better results with HMRC than Clever Accounts managed in more than a year. They also failed to provide basic documents like monthly payslips, and communication was slow and unhelpful. When I finally cancelled the service, they suggested me to pay 7 more month to complete my accounts. Based on my experience, I would avoid this accountancy firm at all costs. Honestly, you are less likely to make mistakes if you do your own accounts than rely on them.

Great accountancy company. I have been using them since April. The app free agent is great and easy to use. They are always on hand to help with anything you need help with. It's very easy to get hold of your accountant as you have access to there calendar to book yourself in plus the recommend a friend gives you a great bonus as well. I highly recommend clever accounts to anyone looking for the full package. Great value for your money and comes with a business account and book keeping app.

My accountant Hasnain has been absolutely fantastic. Such friendly and helpful guy. Had an issue where I was I need of my self assessment being done quicker than usual and he had it done for me in hours after a phone call with him. If I ever have a question i have an answer by email in under an hour usually. If you’re looking for an extremely knowledgeable accounting firm, I highly rate clever accounts. Especially true when you know nothing about tax or books, they are great either way you in that regard.
