Cononley

Average railway station which has plenty of seating available, although it could do with extra shelter on the platforms. The level crossing seemed to be going down very early compared to when the trains arrived, so if you need to cross the crossing to access the platform, I would recommend allowing an extra couple of minutes before the train is due.

This was an efficient station to catch a train back to Skipton from after I walked to Cononley, allowing tickets to be purchased at a machine instead of an office like most stations. It was nice waiting around on very clean seats in platform 2's shelter, which is connected to platform 1 via a level crossing that is practical since it also lets traffic across. On both platforms, the station sign being modernized felt refreshing to see.

Ok station with lots of trains (which has its ups and downs). Could do with a foot bridge as well as the level crossing because the level crossing is down approximately 48 minutes in an hour so it is a pain to get to platform 1 from the village side of the level crossing. In terms of facilities their is a ticket machine on platform 1 and a waiting shelter on both platforms and 2 benches on each platform and a sheltered bike rack on platform 1 with 3 spaces and a car park next to platform 1.Friendly staff on board the train. all in all ok experience. Will age 9

Could do with more seats and a larger covered waiting area. If you need to cross the track to catch your train make sure you arrive in plenty of time as the level crossing can be closed longer than it is open at times and there is no alternative route, even for pedestrians

Cracking place to stay if u r in a motorhome or caravan, lovely pub, cracking play park for kids, swings, round about, climbing frame, cheep train tickets (duo) to Skipton, it's r 3rd time defo come back
